  • Member of the MMHS Cross Country Team which won the Canadian Cross - Country Championship in Hamilton , Ont. in 1955

  • Finished  1st in 70% of all his competitive races

  • Won the 5 - mile Saint John Road Race  7 consecutive years

  • Won the 8 1/4 mile Halifax Natal Day Road Race  4 times , breaking his personal best record
          each time.
