MINTO COUNTRY MUSIC WALL OF FAME INC.
Ron Thibodeau was born in Minto in 1961. Inspired by his late brother Jerry, Ron started playing music at the age of six.
His first band was called Stardust while he was in grade five. They played for "sock hops" in elementary school.
Being the talented guitarist that he is and having played with numerous musicians in the area Ron moved on and performed with several bands which include Mutiny with Joan Kennedy; Thunder Mountain with Merrell McArty; The Dave McNeil Band; The William Bonnie Band; Neon Moon with Clay Harrison, Cindy Rowlands and Nadeen Wood; Major Moves with Conrad Yavis and has played with the New Brunswick Country Showcase Band for over 20 years.
Ron has toured the Maritimes extensively and did a tour with a tradeshow on the Yarmouth Ferry that toured the Eastern Seaboard in the United States which was taped and aired on television.
Ron is also well known in many parts of New Brunswick for doing solo acts in which he carried around milk crates containing three to four thousand song lyrics to perform.
Ron has recorded with Becky Banks McLean, Cindy Rowlands, Dwane Drost and Stephen Kelly and Candace Phillips.
Still very active, Ron is currently the lead guitar player of the New Brunswick Country Showcase Band.
