Jimmy Brown

2006 INDUCTEE
Jimmy  Brown is a popular singer/songwriter from the Village of Chipman.  Since his teen years he has played guitar and written songs about life experiences.

His song writing tells stories of the heart of the Community and its people.  Many of his early songs were about his dad – harsh New Brunswick winters.  He also wrote many songs about the Harley Road and his experiences in that area.

Jimmy is well known in Chipman.  He is always ready to perform for any type of Benefit or Fund Raiser. 

Jimmy Brown was selected “Distinguished Citizen of Chipman" in 2003.  This was a well deserved award and he was well roasted at his dinner. 

Jimmy who was born in Chipman” on December 26, 1947 has composed and recorded numerous songs and ballads inspired by local happenings.

“Brogan’s Cove” recalls the work associated with outdoor skating and compares it to the convenience of today’s ready made ice at the arena.

This songwriter released a tape entitled “Songs of Life”.  This recording was dedicated to the people and the places of which he sang.
